As one of Washington States most equipped and unknown paranormal teams we are opening up more to our community. Since we do not charge we do not have to put on a show. What you get from us is nothing more then the truth. We have investigated for local government, business, and residential clients. We do not keep a large work load because of the care given each investigation. Our personal ethics code has a dismisal clause if anyone from our team embellishess,or misleads anyone on an investigation.

This is a class offered by the collaboration of several paranormal specialist. There total accumulated time in the field of haunting is over 50 years. One has a degree in physics and another in science. If you take this course as its offered you will receive a diploma and belong to the S.S.P.society.
Equipment what's needed?and what is some misconception.

The first section is focusing on equipment used by those in the paranormal felid. The focus is on haunting. Since we at south sound paranormal investigators are science based we will not deal with metaphysics. I believe that introducing anything that is not grounded in a science based research opens up the power of mental persuasion. We have found that although using abstract forms as part of an investigation increases the entertainment level, but we are not entertainers. We are at best documenters and try to only release that which is true and usually its up to you to come up with an answer through your believes and experience.

We will start with video equipment. The first piece of equipment we are going to discuss is Video recorders. A lot of the video recorders are listed by other paranormal groups as I.R. Video recorders. The truth is true I.R. or infrared cameras are actually night vision equipment. The difference besides the price is its method of capturing objects in a dark area. Night vision is basically a method which takes advantage of ambient light. It takes any source of light no matter how little or dim and amplifies it. On the other hand we have true I.R. equipment. This can work in an area with no light at all. Total darkness requires a piece of equipment that emits its on light source and with infrared the rooms appears totally dark to our or any animals since of vision.

Now we see that there are variations on how to get video and still evidence. This is not all the Video recorder
and video recording equipment used by various "Ghost Hunters". If I was just starting out I would suggest getting a good quality High Definition with night vision video recorders with night vision. After that go to circuit city or a good electronics supplier and ask if they have a I.R. attachment for your video recorder. This should have at least nine I.R. projecting lights. Then look for a D.V.R. unit that is set up for attaching I.R. cameras with it. Hard wiring is in my opinion the best and most reliable set up. You can use Wireless I.R. sets. You'll find them were almost anyone that sells surveillance equipment. They however have a lot of down falls. You can start by using regular digital cameras for your still frame, but I would highly recommend a good quality digital camera in the S.L.R. range. You can change lenses and also do not have the delay with lower priced digital cameras.

Your 4 basic options in the visual capturing a paranormal activity, or haunting are. #1 a normal camera with a flash. #2 a video recorder with night vision. #3 a video recorder with night vision that has been enhanced by adding I.R. adapters. #4 an actual I.R. camera. The #4 option runs into 2 options A and B. A- is a I.R. recorder that is self contained. Flir system cameras are what we use. These still frame and video recording devices are usually thermally equipped. The I.R. thermal camera is not only the most expensive piece of equipment you will have but is probably the most useful. Twill take he next in line would have to be the I.R. camera stems. These are hard wired or wireless. A 4 or more channel MPEG-DVR with I.R. cameras are ideal in the felid. There limited by the length of wire needed to connect them to the DVR and the availability of electrical connections available. Some units will take batteries but we have found they do not last long. We have a Honda E.V. generator which cost about 4 to 5 times the amount as normal generators but they make very little noise. Other generators are so loud they could wake up the dead Ha Ha!

Next page is dedicated to do's and dont's on investigations. If your using the scientific method.
